Sodexo have taken on 16-18 year old apprentices who will be working towards achieving their Level 2 Work Based Diploma in Horticulture over the next 12-18 months with the hope that these learners will progress onto their Level 3 Horticulture and into a permanent position with the Company.

SLIC Training will be attending each site on a regular basis to teach, observe and gather evidence and ensure the Apprentices are progressing in this area.  There will be training courses so the learners can also achieve their certificates in PA1 / PA6 Pesticide and also lessons to teach the Apprentices in Application of number, communication and First Aid.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Sodexo to help grow their Company, to mould the apprentices into fine specialists in this field” said the Chief Executive, Ian Benison, “and we are delighted to have been chosen to help Sodexo.  The Apprentices will have a good start to their career with them as Sodexo are committed to developing and supporting Apprentices.”
