Kirstie Renshaw

Kirstie Renshaw

Company: GKL Leasing

Qualification: Business Administration L2

Our Office Junior, Kirstie, mentioned at her staff appraisal that she would be interested in gaining a qualification whilst working full time so when I received a phone call from SLIC training, explaining that funded training was available, I was keen to find out more. With minimum fuss, we signed up for NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.

The training involved regular visits from Julie Ward to assess Kirstie in her working environment.  These visits usually lasted half a day and I was impressed to find that they didn’t interfere with Kirstie`s work but helped her look more closely at how she carried out her daily tasks and think about any improvements that could be made.  Each unit Kirstie was studying could easily be applied to her work and I could see her confidence growing as she progressed.  The training also helped Kirstie to comply with our company policies i.e. Health & Safety, ISO Quality, Equal Opportunities and understand why these are so important.  All staff have noticed how much Kirstie`s confidence has improved and as a result, she has built up good customer relationships which helps greatly with customer retention.  She is now able to multitask efficiently and effectively manage her time and workload.  As a result of this training and Kirstie`s positive attitude to her work, she has been promoted and also received an increase in her salary.

Tina quoted:

“I would greatly recommend SLIC Training to other employers and staff.  This training is a great way to achieve good staff morale, professionalism and a positive working environment.  This can only be a good thing for our customers.”
